Biography

Adriaan Everhardus van Hal lived in Bemmel, the Netherlands. During the May war of 1940 he served with 2e Compagnie, Ie Bataillon, 8e Regiment Infanterie and was commanding officer of the guard detachment of the Grebbesluis at the Grebbeberg. He was reported missing in action during a grenade attack on May 12th, 1940. He is still regarded as missing in action. He received a commemorative stone at the military cemetery at the Grebbeberg.
