Biography

Daniel Peters was born as son of Wilhelmus A. Peters and Catharina Peters-Bolder. Daan was horsehandler with the transport company of his brother Hent Peters, with office at De Plak in Bemmel. He lived himself in Bemmel at A 368. With his collegues Eef Janssen and Hemmy Bremer he went to Nijmegen on February 22nd, 1944, all three with horse and carriage. During the bombardment they lost control of their horses. Trying to regain control, Daan found himself on the Kronenburgsingel where both him and his horse were killed.
