Theodorus Johannes Nuijen was in Bemmel, together with his father Hendrikus Arnoldus Nuijen seriously wounded during an artillery bombardment. Both were transported to a hospital in Nijmegen. Here he died of his wounds on October 4th. His father died on September 30th.
