Class of 1942. Lightweight football 1. His parents lived at 1536 E. 84th Place, Chicago.

Enlisted on 4 February 1943 and subsequently attached to the 3rd Battalion Marines on 4 December 1943.

MIA after the first day of the invasion of Iwo Jima, February 19, 1945. Remains never found; Declared deceased a year later, December 1946; with his Name on the Hawaii KIA Memorial & his Marine Unit’s Insignia. Participated in the following battles prior to Iwo Jima: Battle of Kwajalein, on the islands of Roi & Namur of the Marshall islands in February 1944; Saipan, June – July 1944; and Tinian of the Mariana Islands, July – August 1944.
