Son of Mrs. Alice G. Burke who resided in Chicago, Illinois. Class of 1941. Softball 3 & 4; Cisca 3; Intramural basketball 3 & 4. Burke was a Bombardier on B-24H #41-28925 when it crashed. The B-24 was shot down by Fw. Wolfgang Seeling
.
He was originally interred in Belgium and was later repatriated to a mass burial on the Zachary Taylor National Cemetery on July 26, 1950.
