"Flight Sergeant Alderson has been Senior NCO of “A” Flight of this Squadron since November 1941. He has achieved magnificent results from his men during a difficult period of change-over from one type of aircraft to another. When all his personnel were inexperienced, he got his aircraft operationally serviceable in the minimum time. On any occasion that Flight Sergeant Alderson has been called upon to get a job rushed through he has never failed and he can be relied upon to achieve the best results in the shortest possible time."
