"This NCO, who is the Flight Sergeant in charge of “B” Flight of this squadron, is continuously on duty whenever there is flying to be done, or any flying in progress. He consistently works with complete disregard to his personal comfort and well-being, and at all times thinks only of the work to be done. He sets a most striking example of devotion to duty to the whole of his Flight. Flight Sergeant in charge of “B” Flight since August 1940 and has been consistently hard working at all times."
