"Flight Lieutenant Knight is Station Adjutant and is a most loyal officer, possessing service knowledge, tact, energy and drive above the average, combined with a high conception of duty and discipline. He works very long hours and sets an excellent example in all he does. His thoughts centre round the well-being and efficiency of the station. His knowledge and advice he places freely at the disposal of all members of the station. His hobby is work and his aim the vigorous prosecution of the war. He is untiring in his efforts and all his work remains at a consistently high level. In France, in the early part of this war, he was twice mentioned in despatches for devotion to duty."
