    Biography

    Auld was Flight Engineer with No. 299 Squadron.
    The Short Stirling Mk IV took off on 19 September 1944 at 12:50 hrs for a re-supply operation to Arnhem.
    The aircraft was hit by Flak and crashed at Kemperbergerweg at Schaarsbergen.
    Auld was captured and spent the remainder of the war in in Stalag Luft L7 Bankau near Kreuzburg, Upper Silesia.
