126th Ohio Infantry Monument

This memorial at the Mule Shoe Salient in the Fredericksburg & Spotsylvania National Military Park commemorates the 126th Ohio Infantry, involved in the Battle of Spotsylvania.
The Battle of Spotsylvania Court House took place between 8 and 21 May 1864.
After a battle of 14 days and with the losses of in total over 4000 dead, 20,000 wounded and 8000 captured/missing, the battle was tactically inconclusive.
