Louisville-Nashville Railroad Bridge

There were heavy fights for this bridge. At the bridge is a memorial which was built in the memory of Colonel Robert A. Smith and the members of the 10th Mississippi Infantry Regiment who died in the service of the Confederates.
The Battle of Munfordville (Battle for the Louisville-Nashville Railroad Bridge) took place from 14 to 17 September 1862. This battle is also known as the Battle at Green River. The battle resulted in a Confederate victory.
