Georgia State Monument Kennesaw

This memorial in the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield commemorates the troops from Georgia, involved in the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain.
The Battle of Kennesaw Mountain took place on 27 June 1864. The Confederates repulsed an Union attack. The Union lost about 3000 men (dead, wounded, missing of captured), the Confederates 1000.
