Panel Restoration War Damage Stefanuskerk

During the liberation of Holwierde and Delfzijl the church was badly damaged. The national monument from the 11th century has been restored in the post-war years. As a lasting memory of gratitude, a wooden panel with the text below has been placed underneath the organ:

"1945 The church battered by military violence has been restored to life through sacrifices of the community 1950"
