Westwall - Bunker Remains Augustiner Wald

Sited on the eastern edge of the Augustiner Wald, opposite the southbound 'Lichtenbusch' Autobahn exit. It can just be seen from the road, near the end of the white wall that runs along the edge of the woods.

These fortifications are part of the Westwall, also known by the Allies as the Siegfried Line.
The section of the defences running to the west and south of Aachen was known as the Scharnhorst Line.
