Memorials F/O Patterson

On 7 December 1941 Richard 'Patt' Patterson of 121 'Eagle' Squadron crashed with Spitfire V3711 at this spot. There are two memorial plaques: one next to the bridge over the dunes. The other at a bench on top of the dunes. The text is:
