War Memorial "Den Engel" Lier

The war memorial in Lier commemorates victims who died in the First and Second World War. However, not all names of the victims are mentioned on the monument.

Design by Arthur Dupon. Queen Elisabeth modeled the face of Nike (goddess of victory). Unveiled in 1927, at the Vismart, later (1967) moved to its current site.
