Battery Clark

Battery Clark was a part of Fort Stevens, part of the harbor defense of the Columbia River and was built from 1897 to 1899. The battery was operational until 1942, when it was deactivated. It was equipped with eight 12" mortars.

Nowadays the battery is open to the public.
