Memorial Paulus H. Borgers
The plaque at the Gasthuiskerk in Doesburg says: 'Do not remain silent, but testify'. The plaque was unveiled on 20 September 2015 and commemorates the resistance work of the Lutheran minister Paul Borgers.
In his sermons Borgers frequently preached about the atrocities of war and he often prayed for the queen and the Jews. It cost him his life.
