Memorial Favarger-Tack

During the First World War the 78-year-old Marie-Thérèse Favarger-Tack lived in a house alongside the frontline but refused to move from this dangerous position. She takes care of the Belgian soldiers in the trenches near her house. The troops called her "The Soldiers' Mother".

Marie-Thérèse Favarger-Tack is buried in the churchyard in Nieuwkapelle.
