German Battery E 690
This coastal battery was constructed in 1941 by the Germans and repeatedly extended afterwards. The main armament consisted of four heavy guns, six AA-gun pieces and a number of small caliber artillery pieces. In total, more than 30 bunkers were built here. The site was supplied by a railway behind the dunes.
