Memorial Message Leclerc

In this police station a message of the general Leclerc to the fighting inhabitants of Paris: "STAY STRONG, WE ARRIVE" was received on 24 August 1944, thrown from a small plane of the 2nd French Armoured Division. The plane was flown by captain Jean Callet and lieutenant Étienne Mantoux, who both did not survive the war.
