Ginkgo Tree Cemetery Friedhof Ohlsdorf Hamburg

This Cemetery Friedhof Ohlsdorf in Hamburg contains many War Graves and Memorials from the First and Second World War and also from the French-German War.

There is also a separate section for the Jewish Cemetery.

This Ginkgo Biloba Tree is in memory of the Commonwealth victims who died during the airlift to Berlin. The Ginkgo was the first tree to bloom again after the atomic attack on Hiroshima and is therefore seen as a symbol of immortality.
