Memorial King Albert I Marche-les-Dames
On February 17th Albert I, King of the Belgian, died here in a mountaineering accident. At this site a memorial was erected to honour the king. King Albert I is known as the King Soldier. Indeed, during the First World War, from 1914, he took command of the Belgian army in the field.
