Memorial Killed Railway Employees Overhaul Workshop Tilburg

This plaque hangs in the library of Tilburg. The library is housed in the LocHal, the former hall of NS Hoofdwerkplaats Tilburg where locomotives were worked on. This NS branch moved to Berkel-Enschot in 2011. The plaque that used to hang on the porter's building of the workshop has been unveiled again on March 1, 2019. The plaque commemorates the NS employees of Hoofdwerkplaats Tilburg who died in World War II.

Our country has an estimated 4,000 memorials to the Second World War. On the occasion of 75 years of freedom NPO Radio 1 and Omroep Max: Vertilde Verhalen behind 12 war memorials from all parts of the country. Vertilde Verhalen is made by Ida Albertsboer, Marsha Walraven and Eelco Walraven.
