War Memorial Thann

The many names of the inhabitants of Thann are placed on the monument, 2 of them killed in Indochine and 4 in Algeria.

There is also a plaque on the outside wall of the adjacent city hall on which the liberation of Thann in 1944 is remembered. The text reads:
"The first French army, commanded by General De Lattre Tassigny, fought in Africa and Italy, landed in Provence, expanded with domestic forces, liberated Thann on 8-12-1944 during the victory march along the Rhine and Danube. "
