Canadian Landing Beach Bark West

Just outside Maucini is the Canadian landing beach called Bark West. On the 10th of July 1943 the 1st Canadian Infantry Division landed here on D-Day during Operation Husky. The part of the beach closest to Maucini is called the Roger section and further westward it's the Sugar section where the British no 40 and 41 Commando's also landed.
The only thing there is a Canadian flag and no monuments.
