Landingbeach Sugar

From Punta Castellazzo there is a good view on the landingbeach with codename "Sugar". In the openinghours of Operation Husky this beach was the landingspot for the 2nd Canadian Infantry Brigade. The 2nd Canadian Infantry Brigade existed out of the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry and Loyal Edmonton Regiment.

In the distance are the landingbeaches "Roger", "Bark West" and "Bark South".
Bark West and Roger were also Canadian landing beaches. Bark South was a British landing beach where parts of the 51st Highland Division landed.
