Memorial Stirling W7530

Short Stirling W7530 took off on 20 June 1942 from Marham. The Aircraft was shot down by a night-fighter and crashed to the NW of Wognum (Noord Holland), 5 km NNW of Hoorn. S/L H.J.V.Ashworth DFC, Sgt W.R.Watt, Sgt W.E.Whitehead died at the crash site. They are buried in Bergen General Cemetery.
