Commonwealth War Grave Roman Catholic Cemetery Ulvenhout

The Catholic Cemetery of Ulvenhout contains one Commonwealth burial. This is the grave of the 25-year-old soldier Anthony Flanaghan from the UK Lincolnshire Regiment. Flanaghan served as F. Kelly. The reason for this is unknown, at that time more soldiers served under other names.

Flanaghan was killed during the (Canadian) liberation of Ulvenhout and is buried in this local cemetery. Another victim was the Canadian Frank Halvorson, who is buried at the Commonwealth War Cemetery in Bergen op Zoom.

The grave is located in a small field of honour with war victims from Ulvenhout.
