Memorial Bench Halifax MZ297

This memorial bench can be found in shopping centre Herenhof. It's was erected to commemorate the seven crew members of a Canadian Halifax bomber which was shot down in the night of 16/17 June 1944. The aircraft crashed near the Dijksloot in Alphen after being hit by a German fighter.

Sgt Norman E. Moore age 31 in grave 13-9-193.
P/O Arthur Robert Moorby, leeftijd 22 jr. in graf 13-1-3

RAF Volunteer Reserve:
The fallen RAF Volunteer Reserve crew member was Sgt John H. Bolton age 28 in grave 13-1-4.
