On February 8, 2020, a monument is placed between the crash sites where the two Lancaster’s collided. The collision in mid air was between the Lancaster PB181 OL-C (83 Sqdn.) and the Lancaster ND961 OF-U (97 Sqdn.). Of the 16 crew members, only one survived.

The monument was created through a special working group in collaboration with the Wings of Liberation museum and thanks to a number of sponsors.
