Eagles Tree Staverden

The "eagle tree" at Staverden. This tree stood opposite the castle Staverden, about 500 meters into the forest. In the 1940-1945 war, an eagle had been cut into the tree by the Germans. Two boys from Veluwe wrote the text "Oranje Boven" above it.
