Memorial Halifax JB 907

Along the Kleine Geul river behind Sjaloen Castle is this memorial for the crew of Handley Page Halifax II JB 907. On 28 June 1943 the bomber took off at Breighton Airfield in England for a bomb raid on Köln. It was hit by a German night fighter and crasged here. All crew members lost thier lives.

There's a second memorial for this crew at the other side of the track.
