Memorial RAF-crashes Blenheim P6911 and Hampden AD859

Monument at Munsterbilzen in remembrance of the crew of the RAF-crashes on 12 May 1940 and 31 August 1941.

The three crew members of the Blenheim P6911, F/O A.E. Oakley, Sgt Observer D.J. Avent and ACM Observer D.V. Woods, all perished on 12 May 1940. They are buried at Munsterbilzen Communal Cemetery.

The four crew members of the Hampden AD859, Pilot Sgt F. Pacay, Nav Sgt G. Bensley, W/Ops Ag Sgt J. Clark and W/Ops Ag Sgt H. Tank, all perished on 31 August 1941. They are buried at Heverlee War Cemetery.
