Labor Camp Rebstock

The Rebstock labor camp was an outer camp of Buchenwald and assembled parts for the V2 rockets, including the production of floor systems for the V2, on behalf of the Dora-Mittelbouw camp. These were carried out by the company Gollnow & Sohn. For this purpose, the prisoners were used as slave labor.
This camp existed from the beginning of September 1944 to December 13, 1944. The camp was located near Marienthal, north of the railway embankment between the Kuxberg tunnel and the Trotzenberg tunnel. It consisted of eleven enormous accommodation barracks and barracks for economic, community and office purposes. During the period, the prisoners' quarters were completely relocated to the tunnel. This meant that they were close to the residents of Marienthal, who used the tunnel as an air raid shelter.
