Bust Karel Cogge Veurne

With this bust, the city of Veurne pays tribute to Karel Cogge.
Cogge was a supervisor at the Veurn water works and with his experience he played an important role in October 1914 in the flooding of the Yser plain, which was the start of the position war that would last four years.
After the war he was honored together with Hendrik Geeraert as the saviors of the fatherland. In Veurne several other things refer to him.
