Memorial Students Timiryazev

This monument is dedicated for students and employees of Timiryazev agricultural academy, who fought on the fronts of Great Patriotic war 1941-1945. More than 1000 of them went to the war and more than 400 haven't come back. The memorial was built in 1965. It was one of the first ww2 memorials in Moscow. There are only 195 names of fallen soldiers on the stele, because not all of them were found back in 1965.

The memorial is situated on the closed area of main building of Timiryazev academy, so there is no possibility to approach to it, if you are not a student. But in the same time, the memorial is clearly visible from the outside the fence.
