The 39th Infantry Regiment's slogan, "Anything, Anytime, Anywhere - Bar Nothing", also known as the Triple-A Bar Nothing slogan, was given to the regiment by Colonel Paddy Flint. This slogan was displayed on their helmets and vehicles, even in combat.
The use of such easily identifiable markers was against the orders, as they could provide the enemy with valuable information about the units and leaders they faced in battle, but Flint ignored the risk, stating, "The enemy who put our regiment into battle. see, will know, if they stand the battle, who they have in front of them. "When Flint took over command of the 39th Infantry in Sicily in 1943, it was a bit of a lackluster group, but his enthusiasm and this slogan helped make one. effective combat unit.
