Memorial to the crew of the Handley Page Hampden AE197 - 408 Sqn RCAF. The aircraft was shot down by a German night fighter during the night of 28 and 29 August 1942.

John D. Twigg, Pilot - Wing commander - Royal Canadian Air Force, was killed.
Ian Maitland Gunner, Flight lieutenant Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, was killed.
Gordon C. Fisher, Navigator / Bomb aimer - Flight lieutenant - Royal Canadian Air Force, survived the crash.
Ralph Van Den Bok, Radio operator - Flight lieutenant DFC, survived the crash
