Dutch War Grave Roman Catholic Churchyard Biest-Houtakker

On the Roman Catholic Churchyard of Biest-Houtakker is a war grave of a resistance fighter. This is the grave of Petrus Antonius Leermakers. Leermakers was together with Jan Arend van Dongen on September 7th present in his house in Biest-Houtakker when the house was surrounded by Germans. It was known that they were active in the resistance and the two men were immediately shot dead by German soldiers when they came out of the house.
