Memorial Crew Members Lancaster LL914 WS-U

This memorial is located near the Wargraves at the Old General Cemetery in Wierden. The text on the memorial is:

IN COMMEMORATION OF THE CREW MEMBERS LISTED BELOW OF LANCASTER LL914/WS-U NO. IX SQUADRON ROYAL AIR FORCE. THEY CRASHED IN ZUNA ON 23-09-1944.

Their remains were found during the excavation of the wreckage in October 2006 and were interred between the three graves of their comrades opposite this stone on 18-08-2008.
