Monument War Victims Meppen

Next to the Schülerwiese is a monument in memory of all war victims of the First and Second World War.
Next to a large white cross hewn from stone, there are five white stones, each with a text:
Denen die an den Fronten fielen
Denen die in der Heimat ein Opfer des Krieges wurden
Den Toten zum Gedachtnis, Den Lebenden zur Vermachtnis, 1914-1918 / 1939-1945
Denen deren Schicksal unbekannt ist,
Denen die auf der Flucht starben.
