Crash Site French Aircraft Voisin 8 Lichtervelde
In the night of 2 to 3 September 1917, the French airmen Robert RAVARIN and René DELAUNAY crashed here with their Voisin 8 aircraft.
The Escadrille Voisin 109, to which Ravarin and Delaunay belonged, was a unit of the French Air Force that specialized in night bombing raids. The unit was based at Saint-Pol-sur-Mer (F).
