Monument in memory of war victims from Kubaard.

Monument in memory of five war victims who came from Kubaard.
Jouke Cnossen, Ype Hemstra, Simentje Bijlsma-Dijkstra, Rients Tjipke Jorna and Siebren Koopmans were all born in Kubaard. They died as a result of war violence in the 1940s.

Jouke Cnossen, died in Rothenburg near Hanover in Germany. Probably sent to Germany as a forced laborer, died as a result of war.

Ype Hemstra, as a result of war violence

Simentje Bijlsma-Dijkstra, as a result of war violence.

Rients Tjipke Jorna passed away on 7 April in the Dutch East Indies in a military hospital during his national duty. After a short and severe illness. His function Dpl. cpl. school t. opl. v. Para (see photo 2)

Siebren Koopmans died in Badugbug, West Java as Kpl. 3-3-9 RI 2nd Brig. (see photo 3)
