Belgian War Grave Lacuisine

The municipal cemetery of Lacuisine contains a Belgian war grave of the Second World War.

"For God and Fatherland
Here rests Norbert DETAILLE
Fallen on the field of honour
in Perwez on May 13, 1940
at the age of 29."
He was a soldier with the Ardennes Hunters bat. Moto VII 1st Company.
He was killed by a shell fragment while closing off the KW line between Perwez and Aische-en-Refail.

The KW Line was a Belgian anti-tank barricade between Koningshooikt and Wavre intended as a defense against an invasion of central Belgium during the start of the Second World War.
Its primary purpose was to protect Belgium against an invasion of the German army.
