Dutch War Graves R.C. Cemetery Sint Johannes Baptist Waalwijk

On the R.C. Cemetery St.Johannes Baptist is a grave with civilian casualties who died during a strike of a German V1 flying bomb in the Grotestraat in Waalwijk.

There is a monument erected at the place where the V1 collapsed on February 10th 1945.

Mayor Moonen and the brothers Vincent and Joop Hoffman were executed on September 6th 1944.
One of these two brothers Vincent miraculously survived and stayed alive.
At this cemetery are the graves of Mayor Moonen and Joop Hoffman.

Also is here the grave of Cornelis Spitters, executed on 20-05-1944.
