Green Howards Memorial Crépon

This monument in Crepon commemorates the killed soldiers of the 6th and 7th Battalion Green Howards.

TO THE MEMORY OF ALL GREEN HOWARDS

On the monument are the names of the casualties of the Green Howards.
The sitting soldier is Sergeant Major Stanley Hollis, who received for his example and courage during D-Day the only Victoria Cross award that was handed.
