Overlord Belgian Wings monument

Next to the farm, now Hotel La Ferme de la Rançonnière, the Advanced Landing Ground "B-2 Bazenville / Crépon" was installed after D-day.

The farm became the command building of the Allied airport. The airport became operational from 11 June 1944. It was used by Canadian Squadrons in the service of the RAF. The Belgian 609 Squadron was also active there from 18 to 22 June 1944 with their Hawker Typhoon aircraft.

The memorial commemorates the contribution of Belgian pilots to the Landing in Normandy and the liberation.
