Sherman Turret Direction Assenois
On all major roads towards Bastogne, Sherman turrets mark the places where the German advance towards the encircled city was halted. Over the years, the turrets have often been moved and popped up in new locations. So is this turret. This was first located on the left, seen from Bastogne, on the N834 towards Bertogne. In 2021 it appeared on the road to Assenois on the site of the Belgiam Pillbox Assenois.
