Belgian War Grave Hoeleden

The churchyard in Hoeleden contains the grave of a military victim of the Congo Crisis (1960-1965). It concerns Jos HOLSBEEK, soldier 10th Wing V.V.E. at Kleine Brogel, who died in the plane crash of 19 July 1960 in Sake-Masisi, Congo (CD).
41 soldiers were killed in that crash, including 36 members of the VVE 10th Wing Air Force and the five crew members of the C-119 Flying Boxcar.
